Football selected to finish fourth in NACC Preseason Poll

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin's football team was selected to finish fourth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in a vote by the league's head coaches and athletic communicators.

The Falcons are coming off a 5-5 overall record from a year ago and a 3-3 in NACC play. CUW will look to fill the void of multiple seniors that were lost to graduation.

Benedictine University was chosen defend its NACC football title with nine first-place votes and 92 points, while Wisconsin Lutheran College was picked to finish second 66 total points and four first-place votes. Lakeland College was third with 69 points and one first-place vote.  CUW tallied 63 total points from the voting's.

CUW opens their season at home in a non-conference match-up against North Park at 1 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Tomasini Stadium. All seven teams will have played their opening non-conference game following Saturday, Sept. 5. The NACC portion of the schedule begins on Saturday, Oct. 3.

The NACC's champion earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championship.
