Wohlford adds IMLCA All-West Region Honrable Mention accolade to his résumé

FORESTDALE, Mass. -- Garrett Wohlford added another accolade to his already impressive résumé after the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association named him All-West Region Second Team. The rookie goalkeeper was also named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defense Player and Rookie of the Year.

Wohlford (Rochester, Minn.) led the MLC in save percentage (59.8) and helped the Falcons rank as the second-best defensive team in the league (goals allowed, 45). He ranked fourth nationally in save percentage (.623) and 21st in goals against average (7.27). The freshman's efforts helped CUW reach the MLC Tournament Championship game for the second-straight year in 2015.

Wohlford started all 16 games in net and set the program's game record for saves with a 21 save performance during a 23-12 road victory over Beloit (March 26). He also set the program's single season record for saves (172), saves per game (10.75), wins (12) and has the second-best save percentage in a season (.623). In nine contests this season Wohlford made double-digit saves. He was also named All-MLC First Team.
