R. John Buuck Fieldhouse Ribbon Cutting Set For Tuesday

MEQUON, Wis. – It is finally time to show off the newly renovated R. John Buuck Fieldhouse! On Tuesday night, the Concordia Wisconsin community will have the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the R. John Buuck Fieldhouse.

The upgrades inside of fieldhouse were supported by the Pat Connaughton Foundation, Matt Burow of Catalyst Construction and Three Leaf Partners, and the CUW Student Government Association.

"This project was made possible due to the financial support of our generous partners," said Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Barnhill. "This is another example of CUW Athletics growing and continuing to provide opportunities for our student-athletes and our campus at large."

The R. John Buuck Field House now has new bleachers that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The new bleachers are blue with the Concordia Wisconsin Falcons logo, with logos on the sides. The bleachers will feature railings for safety.

The flooring was also redone. The synthetic surface was replaced with more modern colors. The main court was also redone and is properly marked for varsity contests on the court. The state of Wisconsin is also prominently shown on center court.

The walls of the fieldhouse also received a facelift and are a uniform shade of white, with branding updated throughout the fieldhouse.

The ceremony inside the fieldhouse is scheduled to begin at 6:45.

The Concordia Wisconsin women's volleyball team hosts the Rockford Regents. Fans are encouraged to wear their Concordia blue.
