Women’s Triathlon Took on the West Region Qualifier
ST. GEORGE, Utah – The CUW triathlon team traveled to Quail Creek State Park to take part in the USA Triathlon West Region Qualifier.
The first Falcon to cross the finish line was junior Janneke Bannink (Shorewood, Wis.) with a total time of 1:23:29.90. Bannink finished third for Division III runners as the race hosted both Divisions I and II as well. Bannink had a swim time of 13:35.6, a cycle time of 41:31.2 and a run time of 27:07.9. She had transition times of 0:35.0 and 0: 40.2.
The second Falcon runner was senior Aimee Uebersetzig (El Cajon, Calif.) with a total time of 1:26:16.9. Uebersetzig finished fifth in Division III runners with a swim time of 12:59.3, a cycle time of 45:05.3, and a run time of 26:48.2. She had transition times of 0:42.3 and 0:41.6.
The Falcons head to Tempe, Arizona for the Collegiate National Championships on November 13th.
