Triathlon Competes at Millikin
DECATUR, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin triathlon team competed at the Millikin Splash and Dash on Friday and the Millikin Invitational on Saturday. The Falcons finished third on Friday in the Splash and Dash with 75 points and sixth on Saturday at the Millikin Invitational with 117 points.
Senior Katherine Ousdigian (Shoreview, Minn.) placed fifth in the Splash and Dash at 17:39.
In seventh place was senior Janneke Bannink (Shorewood, Wis.) at 18:00.
Senior Adelyn Smith (Gleason, Wis.) secured a 13th-place finish at 19:51, ahead of Ashley Mayer in 14th place at 20:03.
Freshman Anya Mattke (Fox Point, Wis.) finished in 16th place with a time of 20:08.
Junior Sarah Baker (Fox Point, Wis.) brought in an 18th-place finish at 20:39.
Senior Sara Vandermolen (Elmhurst, Ill.) was in 24th place at 22:32.
Janneke Bannink led the birds on Saturday in 11th place at 1:15:45.
Kathryn Ousdigian was in 22nd place at 1:18:23
In 26th place was Ashley Mayer at 1:21:40.
Adelyn Smith snagged a 31st-place finish at 1:24:22.
Sara Vandermolen crossed the finish line at 1:27:45 in 40th place.
Anya Mattke finished in 42nd place at 1:28:25.
Sara Baker rounded out the birds in 47th place at 1:40:00.
The Falcons return to action in October at the USA Triathlon West Regional Qualifier in Missouri.
