Triathlon Opens the 2021 Season
PLEASANT PRARIE, Wis. – The CUW women's triathlon team competed for the first time since 2019 on Saturday morning at the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon. Trien won the race with 31 points followed by Transylvania University with 38 points. Millikin University came in third with 39 points while North Central finished in fourth with 39 points. Calvin University rounded out the top-five teams with 93 points.
Senior Aimee Uebersetzig El Cajon, Calif.) led the flock in 19th place at 1:18.10.4. Uebersetzig posted a time of 12:13.2 in the swim.
In 21st place was junior Janneke Bannink (Shorewood, Wis.) at 1:19.04.5.
Sophomore Kelsey Leaf (Hartford, Wis.) did not finish.
CUW returns to action on Sept. 25 at Millikin.
