Elmhurst blows by CUW in dual

MEQUON, Wis. – Elmhurst College controlled Friday evenings dual by winning 35-3 over Concordia University Wisconsin inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bluejays won the first two bouts of the evening, which started at 165 pounds, by decision to give the visitors at 6-0 lead.
- CUW's lone bright spot of the night was a 2-0 decision win by Mitchell Slatton (Granger, Ind.). The sophomore and his 184 pound opponent didn't score in either of the first or third periods, but the difference was a one-point escape by Slatton in the second period. He also had over one minute of riding time for the added point.
- Elmhurst would finish the match with three wins by fall, one by technical fall and four by decision.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- The Falcons return to action on Saturday, January 16 with three duals against Wheaton (host school), North Central and Dubuque.
