North Central Invitational provides top competition

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Concordia University Wisconsin's standout freshman Greg Sanders (San Antonio, Texas) finished in third place at 141 lbs.for the top score among Falcon entrants at the North Central College Invitational on Saturday. Sanders was 4-1 during the tournament to up his team-leading season record to 17-2.

Other CUW wrestlers earning top-eight finishes included freshman Sean Ambrocio (San Antonio, Texas) who was seventh at 125 lbs., and freshman Casey Kenealy (Hartford, Wis.) who placed eighth at 165 lbs. Amrocio completed the competition with a 4-2 mark for the day and is now 15-6 overall.

Olivet College won the meet with a tally of 189 points while head coach Bret Corner's CUW team garnered 41.

Next up for the Falcons is the Florida Gulf Coast Duals Tournament on Dec. 18th.
