WAUKESHA, Wis. – The CUW women's lacrosse team fell on Wednesday night in the season opener at Carroll, 19-4.
The Falcons scored on a pair of free-position shots from junior Megan McPike (Mequon, Wis.) and senior Hannah Beyer (Wayside, Wis.) in the first half.
McPike found the back of the net again in the second half on a free-position shot.
Junior Kat Oryszczyn (Mukwonago, Wis.) closed the scoring with a goal in the final minute of play off an assist to Hannah Beyer.
Senior Mallory Gurin (Westfield, Ind.) had 10 saves on Wednesday.
CUW looks to bounce back on Saturday at Carthage.
