Falcons Move to Third at NACC Halfway Point

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's golf team finished the first of two weekends in the NACC Tournament on Sunday. The Falcons fell to third place at 697 strokes after 353 strokes on Sunday. The Spartans extended their lead to 648 strokes after a round of 313 on Sunday.

Junior Elizabeth Montaba (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) led the Falcons with 84 strokes on Sunday to stand in fifth place at 165 strokes.

Senior Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) collected 89 strokes to finish the first weekend in 12th place at 174 strokes.

Freshman Ava Litkey (Kenosha, Wis.) improved by a stroke on Sunday at 87 strokes to head into the final weekend in 13th place at 175 strokes.

In 24th place is freshman Mady Doering (Appleton, Wis.) at 183 strokes after a round of 93 on Sunday.

Sophomore Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) had the biggest improvement for the Blue and White after she dropped four strokes in 30th place at 192 strokes after 94 strokes on the day.

Freshman Natalie Backman (Park Rapids, Minn.) brought in 106 strokes to sit in 43rd place after two days at 207 strokes.

The third and fourth rounds will be played at Washington County Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday.
