Women’s Golf Starts Competition at Carthage

BRISTOL, Wis. – The CUW women's golf team traveled to Bristol Friday to compete in the first round of the Carthage Battle on the Border Tournament. 

Through the first round of play, junior Elizabeth Montaba (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) led the Falcons and finished with a score of 83 strokes. 

Freshman Ava Litkey (Kenosha, Wis.) performed strongly in her collegiate debut, finishing the day with 86 strokes.

Finishing third on CUW's squad was senior Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.), who recorded a score of 88 strokes. 

Freshman Mady Doering (Appleton, Wis.) finished her round totaling 102 strokes, while sophomore Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) finished with a score of 104. 

Rounding out the Falcons was junior Kaylee McCarty (Adell, Wis.), who finished with a score of 117 strokes.

The Falcons will play round two on Saturday morning.
