Women's Golf Battled Hard at the Battle on The Border

BRISTOL, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's golf team put up a valiant fight in a loaded field at the Carthage Battle on the Border. The Falcons finished ninth as a team at 718 strokes for the two-day tournament. Wisconsin-Whitewater won the crown at 633 strokes.

Senior Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) posted the best round of the day for Concordia at 85 strokes to finish with 173 strokes in a tie for 29th place.

Junior Elizabeth Montaba (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) was the highest finisher for the Falcons at 170 strokes in 21st place after a round of 87 on Saturday.

Freshman Ava Litkey (Kenosha, Wis.) had 94 strokes on Saturday to finish the weekend with 180 in 46th place.

Freshman Mady Doering (Appleton, Wis.) had a great improvement on Saturday, dropping nine strokes to finish with a round of 93 and a weekend total of 195 in 77th place.

Sophomore Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) improved three strokes on Saturday to finish at 101 strokes and 205 on the weekend in 91st place.

Junior Kaylee McCarty (Adell, Wis.) had the biggest improvement from Friday at 99 strokes to finish in 96th place with 216 strokes.
