Women’s Golf Sits at Fifth in Marian Invite

 

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Falcon women competed at the Marian University Invite round one on Friday finishing in fifth on the day.

The Falcons were led by freshman Elizabeth Montaba (Plymouth, Wis.) shooting 91 strokes on day one to place sixth in the field.  She was followed closely by senior and captain Gabrielle Flocco (Castle Pines, Colo.) shooting 92 strokes that would put her in seventh. 

Another top-15 finisher was sophomore Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) shooting 95 strokes on the day finishing in 12th place. 

The other two Falcon teammates were senior Payton Dorn (Freedom, Wis.) shooting a round of 120 strokes and sophomore Kayla Samann (Campbellsport, Wis.) posting 125 strokes.

The Falcons return to the course tomorrow looking to post some more solid scores in hopes of bringing home some hardware.
