Puch shares medalist honors, Falcons finish second at Alverno Triangular

WEST ALLIS, Wis. – Nina Puch shared medalist honors on Sunday afternoon after shooting an 86 at the Alverno College Triangular, while Concordia University Wisconsin finished in second place at Greenfield Park Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons placed second as a team with a 378 team score, which was nine shots of triangular champion Lakeland who had a 369.
- CUW had three players shoot below 100, with senior Nina Puch (Des Plaines, Ill.) leading the way with an 86. She
- Junior Megan Reddersdorf (Marengo, Ill.) fired a 93 to tie for fourth as an individual. He round was one shot short of tying her season low.
- Freshman Kayla Haen (Appleton, Wis.) was third in the CUW lineup with a 99, which put her in eighth place overall.
- Senior Lexi Westphal (Brownsville, Wis.) carded a 100 to take ninth place.
- Sophomore Hayley Olkiewicz (Oshkosh, Wis.) rounded out the Falcons five-player lineup with a 102, which was also good for a tie for 10th place.
- Freshman Nicole Williams (Appleton, Wis.) competed as an individual and fired a 103.
- Freshman Jessica Wengel (Fredonia, Wis.) and junior Amanda Gorshe (Appleton, Wis.) also competed as individuals and scored a 112 and 119, respectively.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Puch has led the Falcons in every round this season and has shot in the 80s in four of five rounds this season. It was also her round of 86 this season. Puch had a birdie and four pars during today's round.
- Haen was also tied for the team best with four pars, while Olkiewicz and Reddersdorf carded a trio of pars.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- CUW will return to action on Friday and Saturday for the two-day UW-Whitewater Fall Classic at Delbrook Golf Course in Delavan, Wis.
