Women’s Basketball travels to Wisconsin Lutheran

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin will look to repeat Tuesday night's "turnaround" theme on Thursday at 7 p.m. when the Falcons travel to Wisconsin Lutheran College for a Northern Athletics Conference Tournament semifinal matchup in Milwaukee.

Fans unable to attend the game can watch via live video streaming or follow live statistics.

The top-seeded Warriors have already defeated the Falcons twice this season and ruled the NAC North Division regular season schedule with a 17-1 league record. CUW tied for second in the same division with a 13-5 mark.

This past Tuesday evening the Falcons went on the road to defeat Lakeland College, 56-44, an opponent that also had registered two wins over CUW.

What does No. 5-ranked CUW have to do to spring another upset?

"We had a good game plan when they (WLC) came to Mequon last month," said head coach Stacey Brunner-Jones. "We cut down on our turnovers from the first meeting and did an effective job controlling their offense. That is how we built a lead in the second half. Then they took us out of our game down the stretch and we were unable to stop their momentum."

CUW had taken a nine-point lead off a Tiffany Hendrickson 3-pointer with 6:58 to play in the Feb. 9 meeting before the Falcons faded down the stretch. The Falcons finished the game 0-for-8 from the field and committed five turnovers, while WLC went on a 15-0 scoring run to end the game.

That was then and this is now. The winner will face either MSOE or Dominican University on Saturday afternoon at 7 p.m. for the NAC Tournament title and an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament,
