Concordia wins another NAC Championship

Concordia rolled past visitng Marian 78-47 last evening, building a 43-19 halftime lead and then coasting home. Senior Pearl Wallace dominated inside in the early going with 16 points and 8 rebounds in the first twenty minutes as the Concordia lead grew.

Eleven CUW players eventually got into the scoring column as the Falcons improved to 14-1 in the NAC and earned a fourth straight conference championship in the process.

A dozen Concordia players combined to hit 47% from the field while forcing Marian (5-16) into 26 turnovers. Abbey Pelkofer scored 11 points off the bench to help the Falcon cause.

Alexis Becker was outstanding for the Sabres with a 24 point effort.

Edgewood's one point win over Lakeland guaranteed Stacey Brunner's team their fourth consecutive championship as they lead Edgewood and Lakeland, both 11-4, by three games with only two left to play.
