Falcon women get crucial road win at Dominican
River Forest, IL
The Falcons (6-6 overall) put 79 points on the board, taking an
early double digit lead before fighting off a strong second half
challenge to upend Dominican (6-5) on the road this evening.
The Stars trailed throughout before rallying to take a one point
lead with 13 minutes remaining. Concordia answered the challenge
with 6 straight points and it was all Falcons over the final ten
minutes.
Pearl Wallace led the way once again for the 3-time defending
league champions with 17 points and 14 rebounds as Concordia
displayed excellent balance with four players in double figures.
Freshman Tiffany Hendrickson added 15 and senior guard Meghan
Matthies contributed a career high 14 to the Falcon effort.
Camille Parsons came off the bench to add 10 points.
CUW improved to 5-1 in the NAC with the crucial win while dropping
the Stars to 3-3 in the league. Stacey Brunner's team hosts MSOE
on Saturday at 2:00pm in the Buuck Fieldhouse.
