Shooting Competed at the Upper Midwest Conference Championships

MARENGO, Ohio – The Concordia Wisconsin shooting sports team competed at the Upper Midwest Conference Championships the weekend. The Falcons competed in adverse weather conditions in sporting clays, trap doubles, super sport and trap. The Falcons finished in eighth place at 813. The Chargers of Hillsdale won the competition at 2096.

In trap doubles, CUW was led by freshman Acoya Hotchkiss (Waukesha, Wis.) at 31. Senior Jenna Kerkman (Kenosha, Wis.) was at 30, junior Mason Schulteis (Kewaskum, Wis.) was at 29 and senior William Harr (Great Falls, Mont.) finished at 24.

Shooting clays saw Mason Schulteis lead Concordia at 59, three ahead of Acoya Hotchkiss at 56. Jenna Kerman finished at 54 with William Harr at 53.

The Falcons had four compete at super sporting. Mason Schulteis snagged the top spot on the team at 34, one ahead of Acoya Hotchkiss at 33. William Harr ended at 30 and Jenna Kerman was at 24.

Mason Schulteis had a strong performance at American trap at 94. William Harr and Acoya Hotchkiss finished at 89 and Jenna Kerkman rounded out the flock at 84.

The Falcons return to action at the Fall Central Midwest Conference Championships on Friday.
