Falcons Route Regents in Straight Sets

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The CUW men's volleyball team continued NACC action on Friday night with a road matchup against the Regents of Rockford.

The Falcons got off to a hot start in set one with an 11-2 lead in the first 13 points.  The Blue and White ran away with a 25-25 set-one victory.  The flock hit .353 with nine kills in the set.

A rocky start in set two saw the Falcons and the regents netted down the stretch, but the Blue and White proved their dominance with a final set score of 25-16.  Freshman Chase Ammons (Elm Grove, Wis.) put the finishing kill on the set.

The blue and White closed out the match with a third-set victory and a score of 25-15.  Freshman Will Wood (Savage, Minn.) capped off the match with his first conference kill.

The flock was led by junior Spencer Herman (Kimberly, Wis.) with 12 kills.  He added five digs and three total blocks for a game-high 14 points.

Sophomore Logan Kebisek (Brookfield, Wis.) recorded 25 assists as well as three kills and five digs.

Both Herman and Freshman Ben Kayser (Milwaukee, Wis.) led the team in hitting percentage.  Herman hit .625 with 12 kills in 16 attempts and Kayser hit .643 with nine kills in 14 swings.

The Falcons will be back in action once again in Illinois with a matchup at Aurora on Saturday.
