Track & Field competes at Dr. Keeler Last Chance Meet

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Track & Field team had select athletes compete in the Dr. Keeler Invitational the past couple of days, hosted by North Central.

THE BASICS

RESULTS
- Samual Spranger competed in the 400-meter dash and posted a 48.47, good for second place. Spranger's best time of the season (48.09) still ranks tied for 15th nationally, meaning he currently would be in the NCAA Division III Championships picture. There is still another week of last chance meets to determine the field. Paul Leahy also competed in the 400 over the weekend.

- Gavin Falotico placed fourth in the javelin throw with a toss of 54.51 meters. On the women's side, Megan Curran competed in three throwing events (shot put, discus throw, and hammer throw) while Joleen Gravelle took part in the hammer throw. Curran landed 11.60 meters in the shot put, 35.78 in the discus, and 37.63 in the hammer and Gravelle posted a throw of 37.23 in the hammer.

- Alden Goucher competed in the triple jump and landed at 10.83 meters while teammate Morgan Marnholtz also took part in the event for the Falcons.

- In distance events, Nora Imperl posted a 38.36.18 in the 10,000-meter run. Cassandra Sprotte ran a 19:40.09 in the 5,000-meter run with LaNea Bartel (21:39.47) also running the 5,000. Ryan Teigen ran in the 5,000-meter run on the men's side (17:28.01).

- Jake Roy and Brandon Wooden each ran in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. Roy posted an 11.30 in the 100 and a 22.63 in the 200, while Wooden clocked in at 11.53 and 23.78, respectively.

UP NEXT
- The Falcons will have a few athletes head back to North Central on Wednesday and Thursday to compete in one final last chance meet, the Gregory Invitational.
