Falcon men tie undefeated UW-Oshkosh 1-1

Any doubts about whether Tom Saleska's team could play with the
BEST teams in the country were dispelled over the past week of
action. After a 0-0 standoff with undefeated Dominican (the
Nation's 4th ranked team) last Saturday, the Falcons also played
evenly (1-1) with #12 UW-Oshkosh last night.
Those two sides brought a combined record of 24 wins and no losses
into Fitting Field but both left with hard-earned draws; fortunate
to have escaped without their first defeat.
Last night CUW scored early on a beautiful Kyle Sytsma/ James Kroll one touch combination to the foot of Enrique Alvarado who spun and blasted home a winner. It was only the third goal scored against UW-O (13-0-2) all season.
Concordia misfired on another terrific 1-1 opportunity midway thru the half before UW-O got the equalizer just seconds prior to halftime. Brandon Briones beat Sam Ische for a game-tying goal; the first allowed by the Falcon defense in over 500 minutes of action.
Both sides had chances in the second half and during a pair of 10 minute overtimes but Ische and the Titan's James Pike each had 6 saves to create the draw.
The Falcons (8-3-3) host Rockford on Saturday.
