Crone named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin freshman forward Braden Crone has been named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Men's Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for the events of February 2-8, the league announced Tuesday.

Crone (Metiskow, Alberta) had two assists in each game of a much-important NCHA sweep over Northland College last weekend. The freshman assisted on the game-winning goal in each contest as the Falcons were able to get two key victories in the do-or-die weekend series.

Crone now has 20 points this season, which ranks second on the team is tied for second most on the CUW all-time freshmen single-season scoring list. He is tied for the team lead with 15 assists.

Crone and the Falcons will return to action this weekend in a home-and-home series against MSOE. The Falcons will host the Raiders at 7 p.m. on Friday before Saturday's game at MSOE, also at 7 p.m.
