Men’s Golf shoots program record

SOMERS, Wis. – The weather was perfect and Concordia Wisconsin was dialed in on Tuesday, shooting a program-record 290 team score to finish second at the Carthage Spring Invitational at Kenosha Country Club.

THE BASICS
Course: Kenosha Country Club (par 72)
Team Finish: 2nd of 13 (290)
Falcon Individuals: Andrew Otto (70), Sam Schlosser (71), Wyatt Wilderman (73), Jacob Tenlen (76), Bailey VanHandel (87)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin fired a program-record 290 team score that featured four scored of 76 or lower. It is eight shots better than the previous 18-hole low round of 298 set on October 3, 2016. The score was good enough for a second place team finish.
- Junior Andrew Otto (Kewaskum, Wis.) led the lineup with a 2-under par 70, which was one shot of tying the program record, which he set just over two seasons ago. He tied for second overall on the individual leaderboard.
- Junior Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) tied for fourth overall after carding a 1-under par 71, while sophomore Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) signed for a 1-over par 73.
- Senior Jacob Tenlen (Montreal, Wis.) recorded a 4-over par 76 and senior Bailey VanHandel (Kaukauna, Wis.) rounded out the lineup with an 87.
- Host Carthage won the tournament with a 286 team total.
- Sullivan Schrandt (MSOE) took home medalist honors with a 3-under par 69.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin will host Wisconsin Lutheran on Friday during a dual at River Club of Mequon.
