Falcons finish day one of NACC Championship

GREEN LAKE, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin finished day one of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament in eighth place. The Falcons' Evan Rabas (Sherwood, Wis.) is currently tied for second after the first day shooting three strokes over par.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rabas fired a 75 to put him in a tie for second place among the 49 golfers.
- Senior Chris Payne (Waukesha, Wis.) is currently tied for 24th with an 83.
- Junior Bill Jones (New Holstein, Wis.) sits at 38th place after day one of the tournament.
- Senior Jason Meyer (Dunlap, Ill.) finds himself in a tie for 42nd after shooting a 92.
- Sophomore Kyle Rebholz (West Bend, Wis.) finished 45th place following day one with a 95 to round the five CUW golfers.
- As a team the Falcons are shooting a 340 after the first day of the NACC championship.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- The 75 shot by Rabas, is his best round of the 2015 fall season. His previous best was a 76 he shot in the first round of the Midwest Region Classic.
- Rabas remains three strokes behind the leader, Kellen Syse from Lakeland.
- CUW trails the leader, Edgewood College by 31 strokes. The Falcons trail Aurora, who is in seventh place, by 10 strokes.
