Football Duo Claims NACC Weekly Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its weekly Player of the Week honors. Michael Purkey was voted as the NACC Offensive Player of the Week and Logan Navis was voted as the NACC Special Teams Player of the Week.

A senior quarterback from Woodstock, Illinois, Michael Purkey is claiming the honor for the first time.

Purkey completed 19 of 21 passes for 271 yards and four touchdowns (4, 20, 29, 24) in Concordia Wisconsin's 66-21 victory over Rockford. He finished the game with 19 consecutive completions. Purkey also carried the ball three times for 16 yards.

Purkey is the first Falcon to claim the NACC Offensive Player of the Week since James Linn on April 17, 2021.

A freshman kicker from Cedar Grove, Wisconsin, Logan Navis is claiming the honor for the first time in his career.  

He was a perfect 9-for-9 in extra-point opportunities and kicked a 22-yard field goal in a 66-21 win over Rockford. He also kicked off three times, averaging 42.0 yards per kick.

Jaylen Jordan of Aurora was voted NACC Defensive Player of the Week.

The Falcons will fight for the NACC title on Saturday afternoon at Aurora.
