Football Duo Claims NACC Weekly Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its weekly Student-Athlete of the Week awards for football on Tuesday morning. The Falcons landed two selections with Marquiton Sellers as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week and Nick Klein as the NACC Special Teams Player of the Week. The duo was voted by the conference's athletic communications professionals.

A sophomore defensive lineman from Winnsboro, Louisiana, Marquiton Sellers is claiming the honor for the first time.

On Saturday, he tallied seven tackles - including two tackles for loss and a sack - in CUW's 31-28 Cheese Bowl victory over Lakeland. Sellers' sack came on a fourth down midway through the second quarter. The Falcons scored a touchdown on the ensuing play following the turnover-on-downs. He also had the game-winning tackle on a fourth-down stop at the CUW 7-yard line with 22 seconds left.

A freshman from Rome City, Indiana, Nick Klein is also claiming the honor for the first time.

Klein was a perfect 4-for-4 on extra-point attempts and connected on a 31-yard field goal in a 31-28 CUW win over Lakeland to retain the Cheese Bowl trophy.

Ian Luyando of Aurora was voted as the NACC Offensive Player of the Week.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday against Wisconsin Lutheran.
