Football Posts A Historical Season

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin football team had a historic football season in 2022. The Falcons competed in the first-ever Cousins Subs Lakefront Bowl.

The Falcons finished with an 8-3 record and a second-place finish in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference at 6-2.

CUW started the season with a perfect 2-0 record in non-conference play with victories over Martin Luther and Northwestern.

The Blue and White recaptured both traveling trophies with a 30-20 victory over Lakeland in October for the Cheese Bowl and a 45-21 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran on senior day for the Luther Cup.

The Falcons went a perfect 5-0 at home in 2022.

The second-place finish secured a spot in the first-ever Lakefront Bowl against Monmouth.

The Falcons collected many honors for their success in 2022.

The Falcons landed two All-NACC First Team selections in Jerrell Carey and Justice Kaneta.

The Blue and White had James Linn, Tim Houlihan, TJ Harrold, Andrew Elmhorst, Jakyri Moore, Ben Kraft, Paul Ball, Mason Kaschinske and Zach Heinen all to the All-NACC Second Team.

The 11 selections to the All-NACC First and Second teams are the most for CUW since the 2013 season when the Falcons had 14 selections.

CUW also had five honorable mention honors in Nick Crowell, Jarod Ontiveros, Samuel Campbell Jr., Christian Booker and Breven Palpallatoc.

Concordia also landed a program record four CSC Academic All-District honorees on the year in Andrew Elmhorst, Justice Kaneta, Drew Mickelson and Eli Wallace.

The Falcons are excited to compete again in 2023.
