Cougar football hosts CUW on Saturday
Mequon, Wis.
-- Concordia University Chicago (5-2, 4-1 NAC) has gone from
perennial league doormat to conference power over the past five
seasons, basically because the Cougars have become an offensive
aerial juggernaut featuring team speed.
Fans unable to travel to River Forest, Ill., for the game can

Quarterback Jake Koehler has thrown the football for
1,643 yards in seven games. That's 234 yards of aerial offense per
outing. Three separate CUC receivers have caught 26 passes each
this season with Jamal Thomas providing the deep threat; averaging
almost 20 yards per reception and 11 TDs.
The Cougars average 420 yards per contest so the rushing game is also a significant Cougar feature. Koehler has scrambled for 392 of the team's 1,182 rushing yards while Andrew Maddox is just behind with 389 and better than a five yard average per carry.
A road win would boost the Falcons (3-4, 3-2 NAC) into a tie with CUC for second place in the Northern Athletics Conference behind undefeated Benedictine University.
