Gausman named NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week

DALLAS – Concordia University Wisconsin junior Dylan Gausman had the most memorable game of his career last Friday against Maranatha Baptist University. The right-hander tossed a no-hitter, and since that feat conference and national accolades have poured in for Gausman.

Gausman (Eagan, Minn.) added to the list of accolades Thursday, being named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division III Pitcher of the Week.

He tossed the Falcons first no-hitter since 2004 in a 4-0 win over Maranatha Baptist. Gausman punched out 11 batters, while facing just two over the minimum.

In addition to the NCBWA Award, Gausman was tabbed as the NACC Pitcher of the Week and named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week for his efforts.

A complete release from the NCBWA can be found here. Gausman and the Falcons return to the field tomorrow with a noon doubleheader at Marian.
