Baseball falls in non-conference game against UW-Oshkosh

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Baseball team struggled to record outs against UW-Oshkosh Thursday afternoon. The Falcons fell victim to a strong-hitting Titans team, dropping a 17-5 contest which ended after seven innings due to the 10-run rule.

- Records: UW-Oshkosh 4-8; Concordia Wisconsin 7-10

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Titans scored four runs a piece in the first three innings and tacked on three more in the fourth, building a 15-0 lead.

- UWO finished with 22 hits in the game. Trent Whitcomb and Johnny Eagan each collected four hits for the Titans, while Andy Brahier drove in five runs.

- The Falcons would score once in the fourth and four times in the sixth, but never threatened UWO in this one. Sophomore Kyle Hilliard (Oak Forest, Ill.) paced CUW with two hits, while sophomore Nathan Thyssen (Appleton, Wis.) doubled.

- The two teams combined to use 15 pitchers Thursday. Scott Gorsuch was credited with the win for the Titans, being the reliever deemed most effective in his perfect fifth innings. Sophomore Joey Schuman (New Lenox, Ill.) took the loss for the Falcons.
