Shooting Sports does well at Ohio Fall Regional

MARENGO, Ohio -- Concordia Wisconsin's Shooting Sports club team traveled to the Cardinal Shooting Center for the 2018 SASP Ohio Fall Regional to compete in rifle, pistol and shotgun and did well, with four first-place and two-second place awards. It is the first competition for the Falcon during the 2018-19 year.

Competing individuals for the Falcons were Andrew Handrich, Nicholas Jorgensen, Grant Steinike, Michael Kral, Luke Larson, Mikaela Leach, and Billy Scheffki.

Results of Competitions
- Larson, Leach, Jorgensen won the Optics Rifle collegiate open division with a collective time of 278.53. Overall, Steinike was the second fastest male shooter with a time of 35.77, while leach was the seventh best woman with a time of 56.43.
- Handrich, Leach, Larson and Steinike won the Iron Rifle collegiate competition with a team time of 205.84. Kral, Jorgensen and Scheffki also won the Iron Rifle collegiate open division with a total time of 290.25. Handrich had the seventh male time at 45.56, while Leach placed second as a female with a time of 54.76.
- Handrich, Steinike, Scheffki and Leach won the Pitsol Caliber Carbine collegiate discipline competition with a time of 252.44. Jorgensen, Larson and Karl also won the Pistole Caliber Carbine collegiate open division with a time of 280.74. Handrich was ninth among all males with a time of 46.55 and Leach was fifth with a time of 66.39.
- The unit made of Handrich, Steinike, Jorgensen and Larson took second in the Centerfire Pistol collegiate competition with a time of 346.14. Leach, Scheffki and Kral took second in the Centerfire Pistol collegiate open division with a time of 474.44. Overall, Larson had the 13th fastest time of the 26 shooters at 76.67.
- Handrich, Steinike, Kral and Scheffki placed second in the Optics Rifle discipline with a time of 182.82.
