Men's Lacrosse ends season as man-up NCAA statistical champions

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin was the best team in the nation this past season in man-up offense, according the final NCAA Division III statistical rankings. The Falcons scored on 55.4 percent of it man-up opportunities.

CUW (10-7, 4-2 MLC) ended the season 31-of-56, which was the second-most man-up goals in a season in program history. They had a man-up score in 14-of-17 games and multiples in eight games. The Falcons tied the program record for man-up scores after going 7-of-6 in a home victory over Fontbonne (April 11). CUW's 55.4 percent was the fifth highest amongst all NCAA programs (Division I, II, III).

In all, seven different players had a man-up goal, with senior Derek Brueske (Hopkins, Minn.) setting the program's single season record with 11. As well, sophomore Colin Raley (Inverness, Ill.) tallied nine man-up goals.

In addition, CUW ended the season ranked second nationally in man-down defense, allowing opponents to score 10.2 percent (6-of-59) of the time.
