Dance Accomplished Many Things This Season

MEQUON, Wis. - The CUW dance team competed seven times throughout the season. 

In November, the Falcons opened the season at the Sheboygan Falls Dance Invite, placing first in their Hip Hop routine and third in their Pom routine. 

In January, the Falcons competed at the Concordia Invitational Tournament finishing fourth with 47.75 points. 

At the Cougar Collegiate Dance Invite, the Blue and White finished in sixth place in the pom competition and first place in the Hip Hop competition. Freshman Julia Quartuccio placed fifth in the solo competition.

In March at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Championship, the Falcons finished in second place as a team. In the solo competition, junior Sydney Farber (Cudahy, Wis.) won the competition to claim the gold medal. Freshman Julia Quartuccio (Milwaukee, Wis.) secured the silver medal in second place.

The CUW dance team closed out the year at the College Classic National Championship in Orlando, Fla. The Falcons qualified both the pom and hip-hop routines for the finals. In the finals, the Falcons placed sixth in the Hip Hop competition and eighth in the Pom competition.
