ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA men's hockey team picked up a key non-conference victory on Sunday against perennial powerhouse Lindenwood. The Falcons leveled the weekend series with a 5-2 victory against the Lions. The victory sends CUW to 7-3-1 on the year.

The Lions struck first on a goal in the first three minutes.

Seven minutes later, senior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) tapped in the puck in front of the net off of assists from freshman Chuck Emme (Glenview, Ill.) and freshman Jaxon Hill (Bismarck, N.D.).

The Falcons capitalized on the power play in the first period with a pair of power-play goals from Emme.

He sent a rocket past the goalie with a shot from the point, off assists from senior Lucas Kreuser (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) and senior Ian Malcolmson (Waukesha, Wis.).

Emme struck 27 seconds later when Malcolmson crashed into the zone from the right side and found Chuck Emme open on the far side of the net.

Chuck Emme finished the hat trick performance in the second period on a breakaway past a defender.

In the third period, Ian Malcolmson scored on the power play on a tap-in off a pass from Chuck Emme.

Senior Vincent Falcone (Elgin, Ill.) was once again spectacular in the net with 56 saves in the victory.

The Lions held a 58-28 advantage in shots on the afternoon.

The Falcons return to action on Friday at Trine.
