Bio

Emily Schoessow completed her 13th year in 2023 as the head coach of the women's lacrosse program at Concordia Wisconsin.

The Falcon mentor brought the program from the ground up to a perennial conference contender during her 10 years at the helm, winning three Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Regular Season titles and two MWLC Tournament Championships. During the 2015 and 2016 seasons, they went undefeated in league play and had a conference winning streak that reached 28 games. The Falcons also earned back-to-back berths in the NCAA Division III Tournament (2015 and 2016).

The 2023 season saw the Falcons take second place in the conference with a 5-1 NACC record. The 2023 campaign also saw Katelyn Cardinale win NACC Freshman of the Year, with Brenna Bieniek, Eliana Fuchs, and Katelyn Cardinale also claimed First Team All-NACC honors with Anna Gong claiming All-NACC Second-Team honors.

Schoessow was named the MWLC Coach of the Year in 2015 and has coached Lauren Paquin (IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team, two-time MWLC Midfielder of the Year, MWLC Rookie of the Year and four-time All-MWLC First Team), Allison Kurek (three-time IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team, MWLC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season, four-time MWLC First Team), Hannah Redden (MWLC Offensive Player of the Year) and Sammi Reiter (IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team, MWLC Offensive Player of the Year,  MWLC Newcomer of the Year and three-time All-MWLC). In addition, she has coached 46 All-MWLC performers.

Schoessow's teams have improved in each of her first six seasons after she built the program from scratch prior to 2011. The Falcons didn't win a contest in 2011, but won three games in 2012, before capturing the seven wins and an MWLC Tournament appearance in 2013, followed by the 2014 achievements and a spot in the MWLC Tournament as the No. 3 seed. The 2016 campaign was a banner season with its victories and accolades.

Schoessow played four years of women's lacrosse and ice hockey at Connecticut College where she was captain of both squads.

She was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Region team after her junior and senior seasons. Lacrosse has always been a part of Mason's life as her mother has been the head coach at Williams College for the past 27 years.
