Men's Cross Country opens season against MSOE

MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Cross Country team opened its season with a two-mile dual against MSOE Thursday. For the Falcons it was a good meet to prepare for the championship distance season, which opens next weekend.

THE BASICS
- Final Score: MSOE 20 points, CUW 58
- Location: Concordia University Wisconsin – Mequon, Wis.

THE BREAKDOWN
- The Raiders finished with three of the top four runners and placed six in the top eight to defeat the Falcons on Thursday.

- Senior Michael Taylor (Denmark, Wis.) finished third in the race and was the first Falcons runner to cross the finish line, posting a time of 10:20.

- Senior Zach Ziemann (Jackson, Wis.) was next in line for the Falcons, running a 10:27 and posting a fifth-place finish. He was followed by freshman Craig Reese (Germantown, Wis.), who clocked in at 10:36.

UP NEXT
- The Falcons will host the Ken Weidt Classic next Saturday, September 10 on the CUW campus. The men's race will start things off at 11 a.m., followed by the women's race at noon.
