Men's Tennis splits Saturday competition

PLAINFIELD, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin Falcons split their matches on Saturday as they defeated the Central Dutch 7-2 but later fell 2-7 to the North Central Cardinals.

THE BASICS
- Final Score: Falcons 7, Dutch 2 | Cardinals 7, Falcons 2
- Order of Finish: Doubles (3,1,2), Singles (2,1,6,5,4,3) | Doubles (2,1,3), Singles (3,6,2,1,5,4)
- Records: Falcons 3-4, Dutch 1-9, Cardinals 4-3

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons started their match against the Dutch by taking two of the three doubles matches. The team of Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) and Nate Raskin (Shorewood, Wis.) won the first Falcon point with an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
- Nolan Rademacher (Monument, Colo.) and Logan Snyder (Franklin, Ind.) followed with an 8-5 win at the No. 1 doubles match.
- In the singles completion, Rademacher won his No. 2 match 6-0, 6-1 to put the Falcons up 3-0.
- Christian Docter (Madison, Wis.) followed with a 6-3, 6-4 win in the No. 1 match.
- The match-deciding fifth point was won by Cole Werning (Watertown, Wis.) as he finished his No. 6 singles match 7-6 (5), 6-3 to secure the win for the Falcons.
- Peters and Snyder went on to win their No. 5 and 4 matches, respectively.
- The Falcons' second match of the day against the Cardinals was less successful.
- Against the Cardinals, the team of Peters and Raskin were the lone doubles win for the Falcons with an 8-7 (11-9) finish at the No. 3 match.
- In singles, Peters won his No. 5 match 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 to go undefeated in all four matches on the day.
