Men’s Golf Finish in 17th at Culver’s Edgewood College Fall Classic

JANESVILLE, Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin men's golf team finished in 17th place at the Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic at Glen Erin Golf Course. The two-day tournament was shortened two just 18 holes because of severe weather.

The Falcons recorded a 344 on the 6,849-yard, par-71 course. Viterbo University won by one-stroke over Edgewood College's white squad after shooting a team score of 298. Edgewood College's Brent Quade took home medalist honors with an , and UW-Stout's Ethan Schmitz.

Junior Jon Wengel (Waubeka, Wis.) led the Falcon squad after shooting a 10-over par 81 to finish in a tie for 68th. Senior Jon Waters (Fredonia, Wis.) finished with a 14-over par 85 (87th) and Junior Eric Hertel (Franklin, Wis.) concluded the the tournament with a 17-over par 88 (t96th).
