MILWAUKEE – The CUW men's basketball team finished the regular season on the right foot with a 63-61 victory at MSOE to secure the sweep over the Raiders. The Falcons improve to 7-4 and finish the regular season tied for second place in the NACC North Division at 6-4. Due to a tiebreaker, the Falcons will travel to Edgewood on Wednesday night.
The Raiders jumped out to an early lead at 10-4 on Saturday night and were able to hold the lead for the rest of the first half.
The Falcons were able to take the lead for the first time on the night with 4:27 remaining in the game with a three-point basket from junior Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.).
Senior Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) drained a three-point basket with 1:26 left for the final point of the game to give the Falcons a 63-61 victory.
Junior Brandon Keller (Plymouth, Wis.) secured a double-double performance with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Johnson finished with 17 points.
The Falcons held a 41-34 rebounding advantage on Saturday.
The Falcons will begin their NACC Tournament title defense on Wednesday night at Edgewood.
