Men's Basketball splits the series against Lakeland

PLYMOUTH, Wis.- The Falcons could not secure the sweep against the Muskies in their weekend series at Lakeland. The Blue and White fall to 2-1 after a nail-biting match up. 

Senior Joey Zietlow (Oak Creak, Wis.) led the way with 25 points for the team tonight, with senior Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) right on his tail with 24 points. Junior Brandon Keller (Plymouth, Wis.) followed with 10 points. 

The men's basketball team tallied a total of 51 rebounds against Lakeland. 

Going into the second half, the Falcons were leading the Muskies, 37-35. Lakeland was able to scrape a few points to obtain the lead with 13 minutes left in the game. 

Zietlow was able to start the scoring drive for the Falcons in the 12th minute of the second half with two made free throws. The Blue and White were able to keep it close throughout th rest of the game. 

In the last minute of the game, the Falcons and the Muskies were neck and neck but Lakeland was able to pull away with an 86-85 victory over the Falcons. 

The men in blue and white will travel to Edgewood for a weekend series on Friday, Feb. 5.
