Concordia- Chicago at CUW this Saturday at NOON
Mequon
This week the Falcons wrap-up the home portion of their 2010 schedule, playing host to the Concordia-Chicago Cougars.
CUW looks to bounce back after a tough 13-12 homecoming defeat to Wisconsin Lutheran. The visiting Cougars knocked off Maranatha last Saturday to up their record to 6-2 overall, 4-1 in the NAC.
Coming off their best campaign in the program's 87-year history, league coaches predicted that Concordia-Chicago would win the Northern Athletics Conference in 2010. The Cougars are currently sitting in a three-way tie for second (one game back of 5-0 Benedictine).
Reigning NAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year, Mike Marotta, is back at QB for CU-C, having completed nearly 59% of his passes and throwing for 2,338 yards and 25 touchdowns to date.
On the ground, the Cougars feature the explosive back Khyree Copeland-who has rushed for 14 TD's this season. A few weeks ago against Wisconsin Lutheran, Copeland became the first player to rush for 3,000 career yards in school history.
Next week the Falcons wrap-up their season at Lakeland (in the annual Cheese Bowl), while Concordia-Chicago hosts Aurora.
