Acrobatics & Tumbling Flourishes in Florida

ST. LEO, Fla. – The Concordia Wisconsin acrobatics & tumbling team continued to soar on Saturday afternoon and posted a season-high 229.835 points. The Falcons moved to 1-3 on the year after St. Leo secured the 243.565 to 229.825 victory.

The Falcons opened the day with 32.80 points in the compulsory event. The birds scored 9.45 points in the pyramid heat and 9.30 points in the toss heat.

Concordia added 22.20 points in the acro event with a 9.05 performance in the seven-element heat.

The Blue and White went on to add 26.40 points in the pyramid event, with 9.70 points in the open pyramid.

The toss event saw 25.30 points added to the scoreboard for the Falcons.

CUW finished the tumbling event with 43.925 points. The duo pass of Senior Paityn Taormina (Geneva, Ill.) and junior Ellen Marie Sanders (Joppa, Md.) scored 8.300 points to top the Lions. Paityn Taormina also scored 8.875 points in the open pass.

The Falcons outscored Saint Leo in the team event with a season-best score of 79.21 points.

The Blue and White close out spring break in sunny Michigan on Thursday at Adrian.
