While at Newberry College, a Division II NCAA school, he led the field hockey program to their best season record in history at 14-4 and helped the team achieve the longest period ranked in the top 10 nationally in 2023, and was the NCAA DII statistical champion for goals scored.
Tinashe's playing career is impressive, highlighted by his representation of Zimbabwe at the Junior U21 level from 2020 to 2021, and his tenure with the Zimbabwe National Men's Team from 2021 to 2023. As a student-athlete at Midlands State University, Tinashe excelled both as a player and leader. He served as team captain from 2020 to 2022, leading the team to two Gold medals at the national championship in 2019 and 2022. In 2023, he led the Harare Province U16A team to a national tournament championship. Additionally, he guided the Arundel First Team to the finals of the Annual Golden Girls Tournament and secured 2nd place in both the Women's 7-aside League and the Harare Women's Top Division League with the Sagittus Senior Ladies 1st Team. These achievements demonstrate his experience in building a winning team and his ability to lead a team to success.
Outside of field hockey, Tinashe is committed to advancing his career in Software Engineering. He is currently enrolled full-time in Concordia University Wisconsin's Master of Science in Computer Science program with a focus on Software Engineering, reflecting his dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.
