Triathlon looks back at 2018 journey

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons third season in triathlon was a successful outing. The year was highlighted with a fourth-place finish in Division III at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships.

Freshman Aimee Uebersetzig (El Cajon, Calif.) posted the fastest time of the year at the NCAA East Regional Qualifier at 1:13:38.

Senior Samantha Hoyt (Sheboygan, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 1:14.37 for her fastest time of the year.

The Falcons finished with three top-three finishes in 2018.

All five Falcons finished the race at the National Championships. Aimee Uebersetzig finished ninth, Hoyt was 15th, senior Alicia Hook (Lake Villa, Ill.) finished in 19th place, senior Hannah Barrow (Sheboygan, Wis.) was in 21st place and in 29th place was sophomore Frances Jensen (Muskego, Wis.).

The Falcons took many steps forward in 2018 and look forward to the fourth season in program history in 2019.
