MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons fell short in a rematch of the 2019 of the NACC Championship Game. The Stars took the match 3-2 to hand the Falcons their first loss of the season.
The Falcons struck early on Wednesday with a goal in the fourth minute from sophomore Karoline Haugland (Bergen, Norway) off a pass from junior Isabel Downs.
Downs added to the lead 13 minutes later with a goal of her own.
A minute later, the Stars found the back of the net and tied the game before halftime.
Dominican scored the lone goal of the second half to claim the victory.
Senior Kaeley Sterkel (Dana Point, Calif.) secured three saves in the match.
The Falcons return to action on April 7 against Wisconsin Lutheran.
