Wanless, Godwin, Millar earn All-NCHA honors
DULUTH, Minn. – Natasha Wanless and Emily Godwin have both been named to the 2018-19 NCHA All-Conference Team, the league announced on Wednesday. Additionally, Maddy Millar was named to the NCHA All-Freshman Team.
Wanless (Madison, Wis.) was one of six forwards selected to the team. The junior led the league in power-play points, ranked second in goals, and was top-ten overall in points this season.
Godwin (London, Ontario) was named as one of four defensemen. The junior had 18 points on eight goals and 12 assists, tying her for second in points by defensemen.
The Falcons have had six other players earn NCHA All-Conference recognition over their careers. They are: Lexi Holman (2017-18, 2015-16), Christina Pattengale (2016-17), Emily Heckendorf (2014-15), Sarah Luberda (2010-11), Lea Jondal (2009-10), and Brandi Jonasson (2008-09).
Millar (Anchorage, Alaska) scored 14 goals to rank her second on the Falcons behind only Wanless. The freshman added three assists for a 17 point season.
CUW has had five other players earn NCHA All-Freshman recognition. They are: Ellie Woodman (2015-16), Pattengale (2015-16), Holman (2014-15), Veronika Metanova (2013-14), and Heckendorf (2011-12).
