CUW Shooting Sports 2021 Recap

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW shooting sports team was able to compete at the SASP Collegiate National Championships in Talladega, Alabama.

Senior Nathan Fingeroos (Cedarburg, Wis.) shined in the outing walking away with medals in four events.  He places first in centerfire optics and second in iron sight rifle, pistol carbine (PCC), and optics rifle. 

CUW had four top-10 finishes in the centerfire optic competition.  Nathan Fingeroos snagged the crown with a score of 47.86.  Behind him were freshmen Cameron Tietz (Cedarburg, Wis.), Hank Bell (Saukville, Wis.), and William Harr (Great Falls, Mont.).  The Falcon trio placed sixth, eighth, and ninth respectively. 

The Falcons took an overall second-place finish in the 1911 pistol competition led by a fifth-place Nathan Fingeroos at 53.06.  Hank Bell came in at sixth with 66.54, Cameron Tietz took eighth with 71.18, and William Harr took ninth with 119.44.

The Falcons are excited to get back to work in the 2021-22 season.
