Men’s Track & Field competes at UW-Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The CUW men's track & field team competed at the UW-Platteville Invitational on Saturday. There were no teams scores and CUW finished first in one event.

The Falcons were the fastest team in the 4x200 meter relay. The team of junior Marquis Thorn (Atlanta, Ga.), junior Preus Hasselbrook (Missoula, Mont.), sophomore Christian Prohl (Downers Grove, Ill.) and senior Samual Spranger (Fond du Lac, Wis.) finished at 1:34.87.

In the distance medley relay, the Blue and White finished in second place with the team of sophomore Jack Kral (Kohler, Wis.), freshman Zach Heckman (Sussex, Wis.), junior Emmett Williams (Hartford, Wis.) and sophomore William Ebel (Macomb, Mich.) at 12:01.99

Christian Prohl finished in fifth place in the 200-meter dash at 23.52 he was also 12th in the 400-meter dash at 53.57

Samual Spranger secured a ninth place finish in the 800-meter run at 2:02.23.

In the 3000-meter run, Jack Kral finished in ninth place at 9:30.25.

Sophomore Austin Lopez (Ripon, Wis.) reached 1.73 meters in the high jump in 10th place and reached the 5.92 meter mark in 15th place in the long jump.

Sophomore Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) led CUW in the shot put in 11th place at 13.21 meters and in the weight throw at 10.61 meters in 17th place.

Isaac Zahrt (Kronenwetter, Wis.) led CUW in 27th place in the 60-meter dash at 7.72.

The Falcons return to play on Saturday at UW-Oshkosh.
