Field Hockey wins first game in program history

BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Concordia Wisconsin piled on the goals in the program's first victory, en route to a 9-0 shutout victory at Lindenwood Belleville. The Falcons outshot the Lady Lynx 28-4, as they dominated the first half.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- It didn't take long for the Falcons to get into an offensive rhythm, as senior Rachel Scholz (Cedarburg, Wis.) found the back of the net less than nine minutes into the game. Her marker was assisted by Rachel Larson.
- Freshman Kelsey Fulton (Sussex, Wis.) scored the first of her two goals in the game just over a minute later to put the visitors ahead 2-0.
- Junior Caitlin Henry (Lansing, Ill.) got into the action with a goal with 16:32 to play before halftime, while freshman Sam Dunn (Sussex, Wis.) found the back fo the net three minutes later to extend the advantage to 4-0.
- It didn't stop there, as Fulton collected a Dunn pass and tallied another goal.
- Less than a minute later Fulton turned into a passer and assisted senior Brandi Muller (Anchorage, Alaska) on a goal with 5:45 to play before the intermission.
- Junior Allison Kurek (Chicago, Ill.) added another goal with 55 seconds to play before halftime for good measure, as Concordia Wisconsin held a decisive 7-0 lead.
- Freshman Sophia Kottmer (Virginia Beach, Va.) got into the scoreboard with a goal midway through the second half.
- The final goal of the game was credited to sophomore Lauren Paquin (Waukesha, Wis.), who was assisted by Muller and freshman Rachel Larson (Fenton, Mo.) with 42 ticks left in the game.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin returns to the road for a pair of games next weekend. The Falcons will play at Wooster on Saturday (12 pm CDT) and at Wittenberg on Sunday (10 am CDT).
