Baseball helping raise funds for cancer patients
MEQUON, Wis. - The CUW baseball team is working with Amazing Grace Organization to raise funds and awareness for cancer patients and their families. They are dedicating a workout on Oct. 27 in honor of cancer survivors, and in memory of loved ones lost and raising funds as well.
"We believe service is a major component of being a CUW Student-Athlete," said head coach Eddy Morgan. "Our players are very excited to be working with Amazing Grace Organization to help provide support for cancer patients and families by intertwining an uncommon workout with raising funds for cancer patients. Even though this workout is physically and mentally demanding, it does not compare to the battle with cancer. The dedication of the workout is a small way we can help provide to those fighting the real battle."
The Amazing Grace Organization (AGO) provides those battling cancer with personalized care packages uniquely designed to offer entertainment and comfort throughout the duration of their treatment. Its focus is on maximizing a patient's quality of life by creating positive and uplifting moments that encourage hope and strength.
